On Thursday October 29, 2015 the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs (the “Committee”) hosted a second day of hearing presentations from condo industry stakeholders providing feedback on Bill 106. Among the presenters were representatives from the Government Relations Committee of the Canadian Condominium Institute. As we noted in an earlier blog, the Toronto chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute, along with the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario submitted a joint Legislative Brief to the Committee containing comments and recommendations on 28 issues.
In addition to the oral presentations, the Committee will also be considering written feedback on Bill 106 received from the public and industry players.
The Committee is scheduled to meet on Thursday November 5, 2015 for a clause-by-clause review of Bill 106.
