We first reported on the plight of Petey the pig back in March. Petey’s owners were part of a group of New Yorkers who wanted to keep pigs in their units – despite the fact that the city’s health code forbids keeping pigs as pets.
In January, Petey’s owners were ordered by the Health Department to put Petey out to pasture. However, parting with the little porker was apparently too difficult for his owners, and they refused to comply.
Now, other owners of units in the condominium are suing Petey’s owners, alleging that the 40 pound Petey (originally purchased as a therapy animal) has been scaring them.
